Warrant Officer Peter 'Pedro' Inglis reflects during a farewell taxi in a C-130J Hercules from Air Movements Training Development Unit to No 37 Squadron at RAAF Base Richmond.

WOFF Inglis joined the RAAF on 17 July 1968 as a general hand, and trained as a clerk a few years later. A posting to Darwin as a technical publications clerk sparked his interest in aviation, and commenced his Initial crewman training on 16 February 1974, spending nearly nine years on the Iroquois and surviving two Iroquois accidents.

In 1984, WOFF Inglis commenced loadmaster training on the C-130E Hercules, and crewed on the C-130E, Boeing 707, and Boeing Business Jet until his retirement from the permanent air force on 02 May 2004. The following year he joined the air force reserve and has been at Air Movements Training Development Unit since then, instructing on the B707, C-130J and C-17A aircraft. His retirement on 30 June 2015 closes a career in the air force of nearly 47 years.
